At the moment, there is no strict legal requirement that the Digital Product Passport (DPP) must be printed on the product or packaging. What the EU Ecodesign regulation demands is that the DPP is easily accessible via a unique identifier (typically a QR code or GS1 Digital Link). In practice, most companies will place this identifier on the packaging or the product label, because it ensures visibility for customers and compliance with accessibility rules.
