Every operator is accountable for ensuring the compliance of the products they introduce to the market or export. This extends to communicating all pertinent information throughout the supply chain from operators (or traders which are not SMEs).

Additionally, traders are accountable for the relevant products they offer on the market or export. Thus, if a breach occurs—such as inadequate information disclosure or products entering the market without compliance—every involved entity in the supply chain may be held accountable and liable.
