FAQ.- How does traceability function for cattle?
Would merely providing the geolocation of the land where the calf was born suffice? It’s worth noting that some cattle may be transported to one or several locations prior to being slaughtered.

Operators (or traders who are not SMEs) placing cattle products onto the market must geolocate all establishments involved in rearing the cattle. This includes the location of birth, farms where they were nourished, grazing fields, and abattoirs.
