FAQ.- What criteria must wood meet?

The deforestation-free definition in Art. 2 (13) (b) specifies wood as a distinct component, leading to questions about its compliance. Is wood subject to both deforestation and forest degradation criteria outlined in Article 3 (a), or just forest degradation?

To adhere to Regulation standards, wood must satisfy both criteria:

Harvested from land free of deforestation after December 31, 2020.

Harvested without inducing forest degradation after December 31, 2020.
